There is another very troubling factor that's related to the dumb/misinformed/uninterested voter idea: the oligarch class (Wall Street, CEOs, other fat cats) clearly heard "... tax cuts and deregulation, blah blah ..." when they went all in for Trump and Republicans, but somehow missed that chaos and malignant stupidity might be bad for business.
Either they figured they would come out ahead anyway (like smugglers and profiteers in wartime), or they really are that stupid and blind; they don't have the excuse of not paying attention to politics and governance. Given the way the market and business people are reacting now, the latter option applies to most. But there are definitely a few too many in the former category.
Chaos and malignant stupidity pretty much sums it up. Those genius titans of business forgot that what makes their companies run well is good management, not their personality quirks
Excruciatingly well said.

Horrifyingly spot-on — this shit show is on American voters. I’m looking forward to your thoughts about what can and should be done now.
